Take a break from the hustle and bustle of New York City and escape to the tranquil waters surrounding the city on the Clipper City Harbor Lights Sail. Staying true to its name, this 90-minute cruise takes you out onto the Hudson River, cuts the engines off and lets down the sails for a peaceful tour of the harbor. If you thought the Manhattan skyline was beautiful during the day, imagine what happens when the city comes to life at night!
Departing from the Battery, Slip 2, the Clipper City is the newest and biggest ship added to the Manhattan by Sail fleet. This topsail schooner measures 158 feet in length and is 120 feet high, making it the tallest vessel to sail the New York Harbor waters today. Modeled after a pre-Civil War era schooner with plans bought from the Smithsonian, Clipper City was originally built to transfer lumber but was remodeled to accommodate up to 134 passengers. Spacious decks, ample seating and a full bar complete the transformation, making for a comfortable sailing experience for everyone on board.
