Alban Berg’s treatment of Georg Büchner’s unfinished play
The Metropolitan Opera has been the home of some of the great New York shows ever to be performed. And a lot of them deal with the intertwined issues of love and distrust. But not many get the pull that Wozzeck has to get famed Met conductor James Levine to stand behind the podium. Levine has been a long-time champion of this production, and is taking the time to actually conduct it himself. The incredible Deborah Voight and Thomas Hampson join Levine for this event, portraying Marie and Wozzeck for the first time in their illustrious careers. It’s a must-see show for anyone wanting raw power on the stage, and will help you see it for less with tickets at terrific prices.

Additional Information
