Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune Broadway Revival to Star Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon
Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald returns home to Broadway in the 2019 limited engagement revival of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. McDonald will take the stage with Tony-nominated Michael Shannon in this play that first premiered on Broadway in 2002, starring Stanley Tucci and Edie Falco. Revival performances begin in May.

Ryann Redmond and Joe Carroll Join Broadway Cast of Frozen
With the start of the New Year, Frozen has received a casting update. The singing and dancing snow-person Olaf (traditionally played by a man) will now be portrayed by stage veteran Ryann Redmond, known for her standout roles in Bring It On, If/Then and Escape to Margaritaville. Plus, joining her are Joe Carroll (Bandstand, Cinderella) as Hans and Frozen ensemble member Noah Ricketts as Kristoff.

Be More Chill Releases Karaoke Tracks and Announces Competition
In anticipation of a Broadway opening on Mar. 10, Be More Chill has released an album of karaoke tracks to accompany a singing contest to be judged by show creators Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz. The contest encourages fans to record themselves singing one of three songs – “Michael in the Bathroom,” “I Love Play Rehearsal” or “The Squip Song” –  and upload the video publicly on YouTube or Vimeo with the tag #BMCKaraoke for the chance to perform live on Be More Chill’s Broadway stage.

Magic Mike The Musical to Receive Boston World Premiere
The world premiere of the musical adaptation of Magic Mike will occur at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston from Nov. 30, 2019 to Jan. 5, 2020. The musical features an original score by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal), a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale), direction by Trip Cullman (Choir Boy) and choreography by Camille A. Brown (Once on This Island).
