Come From Away Marks Three Years on Broadway
On March 12, 2017, Come From Away opened at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway. Since its first preview performance, the musical has garnered seven Tony Award nominations and one Tony Award win for Best Director Christopher Ashley. The show – which follows the true story of the 7,000 flight passengers stranded in Newfoundland in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks – has played over 1,200 performances with an open-ended run. Once Upon a One More Time Announces World Premiere Cast for Chicago
In a pre-Broadway, world premiere engagement, Once Upon a One More Time will play the James L. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago from April 14 to May 17, 2020. The musical will feature a newly imagined story of Cinderella, Snow White, and other fairytale princesses, set to the music of Grammy Award winner Britney Spears. According to the show’s press release, Briga Heelan (“Great News”, Judd Apatow’s “Love”) and Justin Guarini (Romeo and Juliet, “American Idol”) will star as Cinderella and Prince Charming alongside BAFTA Award nominee Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral, “Outlander”) as Narrator,  Tony nominee Emily Skinner (SideshowThe Cher Show) as Stepmother, Brooke Dillman (Superbad, “Wrecked”) as The O.F.G (Original Fairy Godmother), Aisha Jackson (Waitress, Frozenas Snow White, and Mimi Scardulla (We Are The Tigers) and Tess Soltau (Wicked) as Stepsisters Belinda and Betany.

At New World Stages, Emmy Award nominee Dot-Marie Jones is making history as the first female to play Dennis Dupree in the 10th anniversary run Off-Broadway of the jukebox musical, Rock of Ages. The character of Dupree, a club manager on the Hollywood Strip, has only been played by a man in past iterations; Adam Dannheisser originated the role on Broadway ten years ago. To catch Jones sing beloved anthems like "Can't Fight This Feeling” and “Don't Stop Believin,’” stop by New World Stages this season through April 19.

James McAvoy to Star Off-Broadway in Cyrano de Bergerac
After a successful run in London, the recent adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac starring James McAvoy (X-Men, Split) will transfer across the pond to the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theater from May 8 to May 31. The show takes a modern look at the classic prose, performed as part slam poetry and part rap battle.
