The story of Carmen, which can be seen at the Met in New York through, revolves around Don Jose, a soldier who is seduced by a wild gypsy, Carmen. In doing so, Jose loses himself, leaving his childhood sweetheart and long-time love and also abandoning his military duties. The play turns tragic when Jose kills Carmen in a dramatic scene after he loses her to another man. Clementine Margaine reprises her remarkable role of Carmen, while tenors Yonghoon Lee and Roberto Alagna play her lover, Don José. Omer Meir Wellber and Louis Langrée conduct. Carmen is sung in French with Met Titles in English, German and Spanish.
