Latin History for Morons

See John Leguizamo In This Outrageously Funny One-Man Show!
Studio 54
from $59

Hailed by the New York Times as “harshly funny” and “surprisingly poignant,” John Leguizamo’s riotous solo show Latin History for Morons moves to Broadway after a hit run at Off-Broadway’s Public Theater. The show is a mock classroom lecture on the contributions of Latinos to society. The author-star started on the project when his teenage son was berated by a bully denigrating the boy’s cultural background when a middle-school research project was due. Leguizamo realizes his own lack of knowledge of Latin history which begins with the Mayas and then skips ahead to the rapper Pitbull. In response, he has come up with an irreverent personal journey across centuries, condensed into 90 hilarious minutes. Leguizamo’s previous one-man pieces include Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, Sexaholix…A Love Story, and Ghetto Klown.
