A love story for the ages hits the Broadway stage – Pretty Woman, the popular 1990 comedy which catapulted Julia Roberts to stardom, has been rebuilt for Broadway as a stunning musical. In Pretty Woman: The Musical, based on Garry Marshall's film, three-time Tony nominee Andy Karl (Groundhog Day) takes on the role of Edward Lewis, originally played by Richard Gere in the film.

Lewis is a successful businessman who asks Vivian Ward, a prostitute with the proverbial heart of gold, to pose as his girlfriend. Samantha Barks, best known as Eponine in the film version of Les Miserables, steps into the shoes of the spunky Vivian, a terrific role made famous by Julia Roberts. Things gets complicated (and very funny) when this business arrangement turns into a love affair. The production also stars Eric Anderson (Waitress), Jason Danieley (Curtains) and Kingsley Leggs (Sister Act).

Featuring direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray), the book for Pretty Woman was written by the movie’s famous director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton. Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams (“Summer of ‘69,” “Heaven”) along with his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance, wrote the original score for the show.
